Privacy Policy

Updated September 2026

WCT Solutions LLC operates GrappleLoop, a private BJJ practice journal for iPhone. Your training journal is scoped to your account. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Account and sign-in

Clerk provides authentication. We receive your email address and account identifier to sign you in and associate your journal with your account. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, Clerk may also receive profile information, such as your name, from your sign-in provider. The GrappleLoop backend does not receive your password.

Clerk processes sign-in session information, including IP address, device and browser information, and approximate city or country derived from the IP address, to authenticate users and protect accounts. This information is associated with your sign-in session. GrappleLoop does not request precise GPS location.

Training data and app activity

We store the fitness and exercise information you enter, including training dates, class types, session history, Focus cycles, check-in outcomes, and progress. We also store your journal notes, cues, saved learnings, references, video links, and tags. The app does not read HealthKit or motion-sensor data.

Review events, onboarding completion, and free check-in usage are stored with your account. We use your training content and these interactions to synchronize your journal, provide practice progress and weekly reviews, personalize suggestions, and manage the free check-in allowance.

Hosting, search, and operational logs

GrappleLoop runs on Railway and stores app data in Railway-managed Postgres. Search terms are sent to the backend to find matching entries and references. Request URLs, including search terms in those URLs, are recorded in server logs.

Railway processes operational logs and database backups needed to run, troubleshoot, secure, and recover the service. Logs are separate from the journal entries shown in the app.

Purchases

Apple processes iOS payments. RevenueCat receives a random account identifier and purchase records to verify and restore purchases, provide lifetime access, and report purchase activity and revenue. That identifier can be linked to your GrappleLoop account through our backend.

We store free check-in usage and verified purchase information, including purchase status, product, transaction identifier, and purchase date. We do not receive your payment-card details or send your journal to RevenueCat.

On-device data and external links

The app keeps cached journal data and unfinished drafts on your device. If you add widgets, selected cues, notes, and activity summaries can appear on your Home or Lock Screen and may be visible to anyone who can see that screen.

Video links you save open in your browser or the associated app. GrappleLoop does not host or download those videos. The destination service handles your visit under its own privacy policy.

Retention and your choices

We retain account data while your account remains active. You can export your app data or permanently delete your account from Account settings, including after your free check-ins are used up. Completed account deletion removes app-owned account data, your Clerk identity, and your RevenueCat customer profile.

Infrastructure backups and operational logs may remain under our service providers’ retention schedules. Apple may retain its transaction records. Restoring an eligible purchase after account deletion can restore access but cannot recover deleted journal data.
