GRAPPLELOOP TRAINING GUIDES
A jiu-jitsu practice tracker without a subscription
GrappleLoop is a BJJ practice journal for iPhone with a one-time lifetime unlock and no recurring subscription. You receive six free check-ins per account, followed by an optional $9.99 USD purchase for lifetime access.
Understand the access model
The lifetime unlock is available in the iPhone app. The US price is $9.99; local pricing and applicable taxes are shown at purchase. There is no automatic charge when your free check-ins run out.
One-time pricing compared with subscription notes apps
Pay $9.99 USD once for GrappleLoop’s lifetime unlock. There is no monthly or annual bill to keep saving your BJJ check-ins.
For comparison, Evernote’s paid plans and Notion’s paid plans use monthly or annual subscriptions. Both also offer free tiers. Their plans cover different features; choose based on the tools you need as well as the payment model.
GrappleLoop gives your jiu-jitsu practice a dedicated routine: choose a focus, review a cue before class, and check in afterward. You can try that routine with six free check-ins before buying lifetime access.
Payment models checked against the linked official plan pages on October 3, 2026.
Try the practice loop in your own classes
The free allowance is measured in successfully saved focus check-ins. A check-in records what happened with your focus and the cue you want to carry into the next class.
Every saved check-in counts, including a session when you did not attempt the focus. Reading your history and reviewing a cue do not spend a check-in. Starting another focus does not restart the allowance.
You can keep reading existing entries after the allowance ends. Continuing to save check-ins requires the optional lifetime unlock.
Know what lifetime access covers
The lifetime unlock removes the check-in limit. It provides access to the GrappleLoop service, which depends on its hosted backend. New check-ins still require connectivity.
Previously loaded entries can remain available offline, and widgets display their last updated information until the app refreshes.
Your history, data export, and account deletion remain available after your free allowance ends.
Decide based on how you train
GrappleLoop is designed for a repeated loop: review one cue, try your focus in training, then record the next adjustment. If that is how you want to organize your practice, the app gives the routine a consistent place to live.
If you primarily want an unrestricted offline notebook, check those requirements before choosing a service that needs connectivity to save sessions.
